About S5 Details Description
Scrofoloso 5 (S5) is a highly suitable remedy for individuals with a bilious temperament, compared to those with other temperaments. The primary action of this medicine is on the liver, gall bladder, Bile Constitution.
The liver’s main function is to secrete bile; bile is continuously produced in the liver and accumulates in the gallbladder. Following a meal, the gallbladder contracts under the influence of cholecystokinin and pancreozymin, releasing bile into the bile duct and subsequently into the duodenum.
S5 is the primary remedy for addressing complications arising at any stage of this process—from the accumulation of bile in the gallbladder to its delivery into the duodenum. While S5 alone can rectify physiological liver dysfunction and restore normal function, addressing anatomical abnormalities requires the use of this remedy alongside its complementary medicines (such as those from the Angioticos, Febrifugos, Cancerosos, Electricities, and Venerios groups).
Bile is a green alkaline liquid (pH 7.7%). The liver secretes approximately 600-1000 ml of bile per day. This bile contains 92% water, 6% bile salts (sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, sodium glycolate, sodium tarcholate, organic salts), 0.8% medium fats, 0.6-0.9% cholesterol, 0.3% lecithin, 0.3% bile pigments, and bile acids. Scrofoloso 5 is the best remedy for deficiency, excess, or defects in the structure, quantity, and composition of this bile.
A positive dose of S5 should be used to correct a bile deficiency. However, if bile is being produced in excess, a negative dose of S5 should be used. If the bile quantity is normal but there is a change in its structure, then C10 should be used along with a neutral dose.
On using positive dose of this medicine, the quantity and composition of bile increases as a result of which this bile (a) increases the rate of intestinal contraction and mixes the digestive juices well with the chyme. (b) makes the chyme alkaline for the reactions of pancreatic juice. (c) Inorganic salts of bile destroy harmful bacteria. (d) Emulsification of fats in the chyme increases. Absorption of fat and fat soluble vitamins increases. (e) Removes toxic substances, metals and cholesterol from the body in the form of bilirubin and cholidervin.
Scrofoloso-5 destroys jaundice, liver and gall bladder diseases from the root.
This medicine helps in the secretion of heparin and enzymes, the phagocytosis of bacteria, the synthesis of urea and proteins, vitamins, the formation and breakdown of blood cells, the detoxification of toxic substances, deamination, the elimination of excretory substances, the accumulation of biovitamins and inorganic substances, etc.
This medicine, when given along with its supporting medicine and the main medicine for the organ in which the disease originated, completely eradicates all diseases related to the functioning of the liver, provided that the treatment is done keeping in mind the condition of the disease and the condition of the patient.
This medicine has no effect on the cranial nerves of the nervous system and the spinal nerves (motor nerves) related to the spinal cord or the actual reacting (executor) structures (muscles and glands).
This medicine has a significant effect on the body’s musculature. It addresses functional disruptions or impairments in muscles controlled by cranial and spinal motor nerves—including those of the eye orbits (rectus and oblique muscles), eyelids, lower jaw, lips, neck, ear pinnae, tongue, pharynx, larynx, heart, lungs, stomach, esophagus, diaphragm, shoulders, liver, pancreas, chest, abdomen, head, back, and genitals. When any of these muscles fail to perform their normal functions, the use of S5 stimulates the motor nerves, enabling the muscles to resume normal activity.
Administering a positive dose of S5 stimulates the motor nerves of the nervous system, which in turn activates the associated glands and muscles; this helps treat conditions such as paralysis, numbness, deafness, leprosy, polio, and muscular or glandular hypofunction. Conversely, if muscles and glands are over-stimulated—causing pain or glandular hyperactivity—administering negative or neutral doses of this medicine helps regulate and normalize their function.
When this medicine is used in conjunction with its complementary remedies (such as Red Electricity, Yellow Electricity, C5, S3, F1, etc.)—selected based on the root cause of the ailment—the disease can be eradicated completely. The dosage should be determined based on the patient’s condition and the potency (dilution) of the medicine. In other words, the medication should be administered frequently. It aids in increasing the electro-positive charge of the exolemma.
S5 has proven effective in regulating processes such as homeostasis, temperature control, heartbeat, and wave-like physiological movements.
The third major effect of this remedy is on the outer covering of the skin—specifically, the primary or uppermost layer. It is highly beneficial when the upper layer is adversely affected by infections or injuries, or when rashes and wounds appear on the skin; this applies whether the ailment originated externally or manifested on the surface layer after progressing from within.
Administer drops. Give five drops for conditions such as liver inflammation and gallstones.
Method of Use:
First Dilution – This is the positive form of the medicine; therefore, it is used for ‘negative’ conditions and new (acute) ailments affecting the skin, liver, and muscles. Using the first dilution for skin diseases may initially aggravate itching and rashes. It increases bile secretion, promotes the dissolution of urinary calculi, and improves muscle tone. It cures gallstones by dissolving them. Use it for conditions such as paralysis, polio, numbness, and constipation caused by liver issues.
Second Dilution – Administered for inflammation, cancer, paralysis, and digestive disorders.
Third Dilution – This is the negative form of the medicine; therefore, it is administered for all ‘positive’ diseases associated with S5.
High Dilution – Use high dilutions for the conditions associated with S5 if the first, second, or third dilutions cause an aggravation of symptoms or fail to provide relief. High dilutions are employed for skin diseases, nervous system disorders, and chronic (long-standing) ailments.
Dry Globules – To obtain immediate relief, the dry globules of this medicine should be taken frequently. For instance, in cases of frequent urination or pain caused by urinary or gallstones, one globule should be sucked every hour. A higher dosage of globules is used to arrest acute episodes or severe symptoms; they should be administered for conditions such as diarrhea, Bright’s disease, elephantiasis, skin diseases, and urinary or gallstones.
External Use
Lotion – Used for cholera, skin diseases, foul-smelling abscesses, leukoderma (white spots), etc. For compresses used in conditions such as elephantiasis, arthritis, abscesses, carbuncles, gum inflammation, and chronic skin diseases, 5 drops of the medicine are mixed with 50 ml of water.
Ointment S-5 is used for abscesses, boils, constipation, eczema, elephantiasis, facial paralysis, muscular rheumatism, constipation, and swollen glands.
Injections containing this medicine—such as Injection Nos. 1, 9, 22, and 31—are used to treat skin diseases.
